PAM-01 Technical Specifications

bullet±1º of actual power angle

Resolution:

bullet0.1º of indicated power angle on the instrument’s digital internal and optional remote digital display meters.

Recalibration Time:

bulletMaximum time is 60 seconds upon restoration of the lost input quantity.  Typical recalibration is 30 seconds.

INPUTS: 

bulletROTOR is an input signal from either a stationary magnetic speed pickup adjacent to a turbine generator shaft mounted toothed wheel or an infrared optical pickup.  ROTOR input signal frequency is in the range of 240 to 6000 Hz.  Usable input amplitude range is 5 volts peak to peak (p-p) to 100 volts p-p.  A powered input jack is provided for supporting the EUMAC, Inc. model OP-1 Optoprobe.  Input impedance is 100K Ohms.
bulletREF is an input signal from synchronous machine three phase potentials.  Nominal input of 95 to 130 vac, 60 Hz.
bulletREV is a once per revolution input signal from either a magnetic pickup or infrared optical pickup. Usable input amplitude range is 5 volts peak to peak (p-p) to 100 volts p-p.  A powered input jack is provided for supporting the EUMAC, Inc. model OP-1 Optoprobe.  Input impedance is 100K Ohms.  A REV input is required for self-calibrating operation.

OUTPUTS:

bulletANALOG OUT is a ± 12vdc output signal proportional to power angle, δ. Calibration factor of 10º/volt into a 10K Ohm load or greater.
bullet4 to 20 ma OUT is a 4 to 20 milliampere current loop output with a scale factor of 12.5º/ma into a load of 1000 ohms or less.
bulletREMOTE METER – Is a powered output designed to connect to a EUMAC, Inc. model PAM-RM remote 3½ digit panel meter.
